My Son's a Queer, (But What Can You Do?)
Social media sensation Rob Madge brings their sensational one-person show to the West End for the first time with My Son’s a Queer, (But What Can You Do?) at the Garrick Theatre. As a child, Rob attempted to perform an entire Disney Parade on their own, for the benefit of their grandmother. With their father somewhat unqualified as Stage Manager (he pushed all the floats the wrong way) and their mother didn’t quite know her Aladdins from her Ursulas. However, Grandma still had a good time.
Rob now brings revives their parade for the enjoyment of London theatregoers in this personal, biographical celebration of growing up queer. Using home-video, improvised costumes and bundles of personality, My Son’s a Queer is as uplifting as it is funny, as outrageous as it is personal. After delighting Fringe audiences across the UK, West End debut of My Son’s a Queer, (But What Can You Do?) as the Garrick Theatre is sure to be a camp, colourful hit.
