Orlando
The Crown star Emma Corrin makes an anticipated return to the West End stage in Orlando at the Garrick Theatre. This adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s seminal feminist novel will take theatregoers on a journey through time, meeting several historical figures along the way. This exciting new adaptation is written by Neil Bartlett and directed by Michael Grandage.
Orlando tells the story of an aristocratic English poet who changes gender from man to woman and lives for centuries. This satirical work was inspired by the complicated family history of Woolf’s lover Vita Sackville-West. The book is considered on of Woolf’s most important and popular works and has received several adaptations, including the 1992 film starring Tilda Swinton.
Actor Emma Corrin played Anna in Anna X at the Harold Pinter Theatre in 2021 and has risen to fame by playing Lady Diana in The Crown. Orlando promises to be a powerful work of drama and satire at the Garrick Theatre.
