The Entertainer
Kenneth Branagh returns to the London stage to star in a revival of John Osbourne’s 1957 play The Entertainer. After writing Look Back in Anger, John Osborne took the theatre world by storm, becoming famous for his revolutionary kitchen-sink dramas. The Entertainer follows Archie Rice, a role made famous by Laurence Olivier, and follows Archie as he desperately attempts to keep his music-hall career alive. Flitting between the domestic scenes of the Rice family and Archie performing his washed-up act, The Entertainer is the story of an embittered man who has lost hope in the world around him. Branagh stars as Archie Rice, following in the footsteps of Olivier, with whom he is often compared to. Don't miss out on the chance to see him!
